Unsolicited Mediumship Readings of Celebrities and Famous People. Ethical or Unethical?
Recently, I was asked whether I’ve conducted private mediumship readings for the family members of discarnate celebrities or famous people. Due to my music background and years of work in Hollywood, I’ve been fortunate to meet some truly humble and kind individuals in the entertainment industry. I’ve also had the honor of conducting successful mediumship readings for some of their families, connecting them with deceased celebrities they loved. These families have always requested confidentiality to protect their privacy, and I deeply respect their wishes.
While I’ve been privileged to provide accurate and healing messages with validated information during these readings, it’s important to remember that there is no hierarchy or social status in the spiritual realm. We are all divine spirits. My approach has always been to treat every client and every soul with the same love and respect, regardless of their earthly identity.
The Problem with Unsolicited Mediumship Readings
Lately, I’ve noticed an alarming number of unsolicited mediumship readings circulating online, often claiming to connect with public figures or celebrities who have passed away—without the consent of their families. These channels often serve one purpose: to benefit the host or creator, whether by gaining views, building a reputation, or making a profit.
Regardless of the intentions—whether “just for fun,” to help others, or to increase visibility—these actions come at the expense of the deceased and their grieving families. One example that stands out is a client who shared a YouTube channel with me. The channel was run by a grieving mother who had lost her son. To cope with her loss, she created a space where she claimed her son’s spirit was summoning deceased celebrities for interviews. While I empathize with her pain, her actions were, in my view, selfish and inconsiderate. Her tight grip on her son’s spirit not only hindered his journey but also exploited the souls of others for her own comfort and recognition.
Such channels lack consent from the deceased’s family and fail to provide any validation for the messages being shared. Without verifiable information, these readings are inherently invalid—no matter how convincing they may appear. This practice is unethical, disrespectful to the deceased, and often deeply hurtful to their loved ones. Celebrities are human beings and souls, too—someone’s son, daughter, parent, or friend. They deserve respect and privacy, even in the afterlife.
Mediumship is Sacred
Mediumship is a sacred practice that requires discipline, ethics, and respect. A responsible medium must prioritize the highest good for both the spirit world and the physical plane, ensuring that their work benefits all involved. Conducting a reading without the consent of the deceased’s family, or with motives driven by personal gain, goes against the very essence of mediumship.
Spirit guides only assist mediums with selfless and genuine intentions, creating the right conditions for an authentic connection. Poor intentions and low-vibrational motives often attract unevolved spirits or impostors, leading to distorted or harmful messages. This is why periodic self-regulation and introspection are crucial for any medium.
Lower-level entities and opportunistic spirits are always present, waiting for an opening. A medium’s energy and spiritual discipline naturally attract spirits of similar frequency. Without care and integrity, the practice can become a hotbed for low-vibrational activity.
My Approach to Mediumship
I only work with clients who are directly connected to the discarnate to ensure the strongest, most authentic connection. My sessions are built on trust, validation, and respect, and I aim to provide evidential mediumship that offers healing and comfort.
For those seeking a genuine mediumship experience, I recommend looking for an evidential medium—someone who channels messages that are deeply personal and verifiable. Ideally, choose a medium with reviews from reputable third-party platforms, rather than testimonials curated by themselves. And above all, avoid those who publicly share unsolicited readings.
Mediumship is not about entertainment or self-promotion—it’s about healing, truth, and honoring the divine connection between the physical and spiritual realms. Let’s respect the deceased, their families, and the sacredness of this work.
Till next time……
