A New Battle of Realities

Recently, I went on a trip to ancient Egypt, climbed to the top of the pyramid, and watched how they preserved a mummy on site. The whole trip lasted an hour. How? It wasn’t my usual Out of Body Experience (OBE) routine. Trust me, I wouldn’t have the luxury to take a detour to ancient Egypt during my OBE.

Not to promote a fun event, but a friend dragged me into a VR experience with an ancient Egypt theme. How was it? Amazing. I think everyone should experience it!

As technology pushes forward, I can’t help but wonder: are we gaining freedom, or are we just being controlled in new ways? I often find myself watching sci-fi about good aliens fighting bad ones—one side wants us to reclaim our sovereignty, while the other wants us stuck in low-consciousness servitude. Whether in sci-fi or reality, it feels like we’re stepping into a new matrix layered within the one we’re already trapped in.

VR vs. Astral Projection (AP)

A fascinating comparison is between Virtual Reality (VR) and Astral Projection (AP). I usually call it OBE since it isn’t confined to the astral realm, but for this, I’ll use AP. Both VR and AP offer ways to break free from physical reality, but one relies on tech, and the other taps into our spiritual abilities.

At first glance, VR and AP seem similar—both let us “leave” our bodies to explore different worlds. VR tricks our senses with tech, making us believe we’re elsewhere, while AP uses consciousness to travel beyond the physical world into realms beyond. Both are mind-bending, but I guess the key difference is control.

VR offers an instant escape with minimal effort. However, is it designed to overload our senses and keep us grounded in the physical world? Undoubtedly, it is external—created by others and bound by their rules. In VR, everything is controlled by the creators. We can’t break the rules; we’re limited by tech.

AP, on the other hand, I’d want to believe that we’re in full control. We decide where to go, what to do, and how deep to explore. It requires nothing external. No one’s pulling the plug on us. We tap into our consciousness and explore realms that exist beyond the physical. The only limits are our soul’s level and consciousness. However, AP can take years to master. It’s a journey of meditation, perspective shifts, and healing, working through blockages, habits, fears, and spiritual wounds. It requires a lifetime of dedication. Not everyone has the time or energy to devote themselves to this process.

In my OB practice, it has taken me years to work through various realms, and I’m still far from fully exploring most of them. Breaking through certain realms requires deeper consciousness and soul growth, and there have been stretches with little to no progress. It’s a true test of patience and dedication. We must peel away layers, not only in meditation but also in real life—healing old wounds, overcoming bad habits, and confronting fears. Not everyone is ready to make that level of commitment.

Is VR a Distraction?

Like everything in this earthly realm, VR can be a double-edged sword—it can either help or harm. Take YouTube, for example: when used consciously, we can learn in minutes what used to require years of study. But it can also become an addiction, making us rely on external information and forgetting that we are divine beings capable of more than we know. Not long ago, telepathy and communication with passed ancestors were natural. Now, we rely on gadgets, and mediumship is seen as a special gift for the “chosen.”

Don’t hate me for using The Matrix as an example again which I already did in a few of my articles, but humans stuck in a controlled, fake reality, unaware of their true potential. If we escape into virtual worlds too often, we might forget how to connect with our inner worlds. Over-relying on tech for spiritual experiences could cause us to lose the ability to experience them naturally.

The Bigger Picture

VR is fun, and I’d love to have one at home for entertainment. But I won’t let it replace my natural spiritual abilities. AP reminds us that everything we truly need is already within us.

On a similar note, I’ve previously posted an article “A New Matrix Trap: Spirituality or Religion 2.0?”—another form of external control. This ties into our discussion here. Whether spiritual or technological, these systems might be influencing our lives in ways we don’t fully understand.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a VR Astral Projection experience rolls out soon, offering a quick fix for those wanting to experience other realms. While fun, don’t forget those realms are someone else’s pre-set artificial design.
